Siblings Maya and Itai Regev were kidnapped from the rave party near kibbutz Reim. 18-year-old Itai was shot in the thigh during the kidnapping, and was operated on in Gaza without any anasthesia, a terrifying ordeal. Maya, who is 21, was shot in the ankle. She was taken to hospital and underwent an operation, but her foot was attached the wrong way round.

In the clip of her release by the terrorists, Maya can be seen hobbling to the Red Cross car on crutches. Immediately after her arrival in Israel she was whisked to Soroka hospital where doctors treated her and succeeded in reversing the damage to her leg.

Four days later, her brother was also released from captivity and also immediately underwent surgery to repair the damage to his thigh. The two were released from hospital a few days ago and have started rehabilitation.
For this alone the hospital should be blown to bits
The UN Gutter-man thanks the high skilled doctors of Gaza for the skilled professional treatment they received under their care.
You physically cannot attach a foot backwards. That’s cartoon logic. If they did she would have died from gangrene and sepsis days after they did it. Why be so hyperbolic and absurd? The rape and murder is enough. Don’t give the antisemites and Arabs more ammunition to show that Jews lie.
So one person doesn’t get anesthesia and it’s barbaric? You DO realize they’re just getting the definitive Palestinian experience under Israeli occupation/siege, right? Reuters was reporting on no anesthesia operations and births in Gaza over a month ago – but it looks like it’s only a problem when they look like you?
