JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In an interview with the Kan Israeli news network, Ilan Kfir, a veteran Israeli military journalist who has published the first full account of what occurred on Oct. 7th, claims that Hamas had further operative plans which were thwarted – to reach Tel Aviv and Dimona and to release hundreds of prisoners from the Ashkelon-based Shikma jail.

Kfir’s book, “Gaza Division Conquered”, traces the shocking lack of military response to the initial attack by Hamas as well as the individual acts of heroism which succeeded in curbing the terrorists’ advance.
According to Kfir, Hamas was ready to go to phase two if their initial attack was successful, and it had large reserve forces ready to go at noon. The goal was to breach in the north and south, including a raid on Tel Aviv as well as an attack on Dimona. The Tel Aviv operational plans included marking focal points in the city which were expected to be crowded in the afternoon and evening in order to carry out a mass massacre.
Kfir says that Hamas intentionally prepared forces for the Tel Aviv attack who had the mental willingness to commit suicide, because they knew they had no chance of returning from there. He says that the plan was in “advanced stages of formulation” at the time of the attack and would have led to double the losses of the initial attack, especially as if the plan had succeeded Hezbollah would have actively joined the offensive on Israel.
Maybe now, the Israeli leftists particularly, and even those in center and right who want to de-Judaize and surrender Judea & Samaria, will realuze that the Arabs want ALL of Israel. They want Allenby Rd. in TA as well. They have in the past made clear that their rockets will hit TA . Throughout the last 20 years, rockets have mostly hit pre ’67 Israel, not Shomron. Stop this naive nonsense already.
This is why peace in our time is so needed
