Monsey, NY – As a representative of the Rabbinical College of Tartikov, I am writing to thank the people of Pomona for coming out to our community meeting May 21.

We appreciate that people want to know more about the college and our religious belief in the training of rabbinical judges called dayanim. It was our hope that this meeting would enable us to engage in a useful dialog with people who are active in the community. We want our goals to be transparent and wanted to share our proposed development plans with the people of Pomona before moving forward. As I said at the meeting, we really want to work with the community to develop a plan that satisfies our needs and also addresses the issues raised by the community. We are eager to demonstrate that we can and will be good neighbors.

I must express my disappointment, however, that the meeting lacked any such constructive comments. It was clear that many objections were simply to our presence in Pomona.

Tauber and Babad are selling out the entire Monsey Jewish community for some greedy profits!

The anti-semitisim this will bring will only compare to what you see with KJ.

Whom do they want to fool they will bring thousands of rabbi’s to become judges? come on! enough with this BS. All the goyim know this is only so they can build and don’t need to pay taxes.

If you want to build, do it like Mr. Lebowitz did (Marinor way, Weiner drive) But the way their lawyer started this off with a hefty war talk was just disgusting!

Let them get lost! As a chassidik Jew, we should hold demonstraitions in front of 10 Jeffery place in Monsey on a daily basis!

I agree. It is frum developers who are destroying Rockland County, specifically the Town of Ramapo. Much of it is Chassidic, and there is some from the developers on Grandview who are not Chassidic, but they have made a big Chillul Hashem and made anti-semitism worse. It is an absolute disgrace the way the frum developers are ruining Monsey, all to line their greedy pockets.

Excuse me Mr 10:13, its not only Chasidim. Take a look at what those 2 Litvaks have done on Grandview Ave with Kiryas Radin. I am not a Chosid so dont go saying anything about this post. I am just someone who is against all building in Ramapo be it in Kaser or in Pomona or Walmart for that matter.

What the Chassidim don’t realize is that people living here in semi-rural Rockland love the quiet streets, the clean air, the open space, the trees, the mountains. They do NOT want to live in a congested city atmosphere with traffic, noise, pollution, and concrete. This is, in my opinion, a big Chillul Hashem. If Tartikov wants to develop a mass housing project, he should locate in an area which is suitable. I absolutely hope he is not successful here because Tartikov will destroy our beautiful area. I am afraid he does not care.
