Police have charged 18-year-old David Winters with the murder of his 55-year-old father, after the body was found in Muddy Branch Park when his son went to Shady Grove Hospital with cuts. David Winters told police he and his father had been attacked by a group of men while they were walking in the park. Police said evidence in the case does not support Winter's story.
David is home on leave after completing Marine boot camp.

Andrew Winters was a prominent architect, he was married and a father of two, he was also a member of the Beth Ami Synagogue in Rockville for at least 20 years, according to Rabbi Jack Luxemburg.
Rabbi Luxemburg said "life was not always easy" for son David Winters. He would not elaborate. "We are now staring into a deep dark mystery," said Rabbi Luxemburg. [wusa9]
