Initial reports said water service has been lost to some homes and businesses in Monsey and in the Village of New Square also on West Clarkstown Road in Clarkstown, South Mountain Road in New City, the Hamlets condominium complex in Nanuet and Hillcrest (near Route 45).
"We've received calls from residents and dispatched emergency crews," Goudsmith said.

Those without water can call United Water's customer service center at 845-620-3320.

    U/D:
United Water New York advised residents to boil their water for one minute before drinking, cooking, taking medication, brushing their teeth, mixing baby formula or swallowing it. The advisory is required by county law once repairs have exceeded four hours.

“Our crews made a tremendous effort to get these mains fixed as quickly as possible,” United Water New York spokesman Steve Goudsmith said yesterday in an e-mail. “Our sincerest appreciation to our customers who remained very patient during this time.” [journalnews]

just wondering how did the women prepare for shabbos? Where did they get water to cook food that’s eaten on shabbos like fish, soup, chulent, eggs, etc. etc.

What about having water to use the bathroom, washing hands after using bathroom, showering/bathing, and other uses for water?

Did they find the cause of it yet?

I hope that by now the issue is resolved and everyone has water.
