Sergey Satyr was nabbed after NYPD A.I.S. used partial license plate numbers and remnants of a Nissan to track Satyr to his Mill Basin home.
He was arrested in connection with a Dec. 21 crash along Ocean Parkway near Avenue X that killed 71-year-old Grace Smith.
Satyr is facing charges for leaving the scene of a deadly accident and speeding.
"She was a very nice person, and it's very sad," said Smith's neighbor, Philip Shapiro, 60. "She didn't deserve this." [NY Daily News]
