Debris, not debree.
Docvie, you sound like a moron. Are you telling us that you would not open your door to see what the comotion is all about?
“Crowd control” is media term for HYPE! There were no more than 60 people there and mostly from the block and immediate area. The police were there to protect people from getting to close to live wires which were not shut off by Con Ed for a while. The area was dangerous because of LIVE WIRES, FIRE and debree all over the place.
Crowd control is for those that don’t have power in their homes and gather in the streets. Its not Gawkers.
Why is it that whenever something happens in this community, the police need to respond for “crowd control”? Can we really not hold back from gawking at unfortunate events?
the whole block is left without heat and power. the block will b closed off 4 quite a while con ed is on sight 2 fix things up
