Israel – US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has agreed to postpone her landing in Tel Aviv by one hour and a half on Saturday in order not to land during Shabbat.

The Foreign Ministry has asked Rice to postpone her landing after they have realized that since the clocks were taken one hour forward on Friday morning (2 am turned to 3 am) for day light savings, Shabbat will stay a little later. [J-post]
