Judge Charles Sifton said that the lawsuit’s claim that the mayor and current second-term City Council members merely want to maintain their hold on power has no foundation in the record.

The lawsuit challenged on constitutional grounds plans by Bloomberg to run for a third term as mayor. It was filed by the city’s comptroller, its public advocate, several council members and various citizens.

Bloomberg recently signed a bill into law that changed city term-limits rules. The change would allow him to run again for mayor.

Bloomberg had argued that the city needs him to stay in office and manage its finances through the economic downturn.

A WIN FOR NEW YORK ( BLOOMBERG’S NOT PERFECT HAS MADE MISTAKES ) OVERALL A RESPONSIBLE & ETHICAL MAYOR

The best way to make sure he doesn’t get elected again is to direct the campaign on all the people who are financially hurt by bloomberg.

Particularly everyone who is bombarded with Summonses of all kinds for driving, parking, Sanitation Enforcement and other violations – every ticket issued is a vote against Bloomberg.

Bloomberg is cutting all city essential services but i paying for tens of thousands of traffic agents to give parking tickets and using the precious little police force we have to waste their time going after seat belts and cell phones instead of going after robbers and murderers and rapists, who’s crime has increased in NYC.

An effective campaign can lobby anyone who got a ticket to vent his anger by voting against bloomberg.

    Say what you want.
We put him in office for what he is.
    An excellent administrator.
Sure, it’s gonna hurt; but Hey!
    we’re not bankrupt
like lots of other big cities.
    With G-d’s guidance,
Bloomberg will help us thru this economic downturn.
Medicine is bitter, but ya gotta take it.
and those who don’t, get sicker.

Why doesn’t bloomberg cut expenses instead of taxing more?

I expected more from a businessman
