The billionaire mayor signed the oath in front of the city clerk Thursday.
Bloomberg will ceremonially say the oath aloud at noon on Friday. He will then deliver his inauguration speech.
Bloomberg first entered office in 2002. He was re-elected in 2005. City term-limit law had barred him from running again, but he persuaded the City Council to change the law so he could run for another four years.
The city’s public advocate and comptroller will also give inaugural speeches Friday.
