According to Fadida, the Saudi Hacker is nineteen year old Mexican resident Omar Habib, a café worker who was born in the United Arab Emirates and currently studying at a Mexican university. Fadida uncovered the identity of the hacker by following a trail of clues left by the hacker.
Starting with the email address [email protected], which the hacker used to communicate with the media, Fadida tracked the email address, which led to forums dealing with subjects such as hacking and pro-Palestinian issues, including one forum where the hacker left his real email address, which he also used on Facebook.
“I collected clues that were scattered all across the internet,” wrote Fadida on his blog today, “and I put them together like a puzzle until I uncovered his identity, his real name, where he lives, where he was born, where he went to high school, university and even his place of work. I hope that this investigation will bear fruit and possibly even lead to extradition to Israel where he can be brought to justice.”
This global (not just Israel against the Arabs) cyberwar has been going on for a long, long time.
WoW!. As they say you can run but you can’t hide.
Just imagine how the RBS”O has a tab on everything we do and everywhere we go. There is no hiding.
Can’t fathom who would benefit from publicizing this bloggers findings, other than sabotaging the investigation.
So this blogger used Google to track a hacker that pierced serious computer security.
My guess is that he’s not the real hacker. A common technique among hackers is using someone else’s identity which I suspect is the case here.
Israeli government why couldn’t you find this such simple info.
