Los Angeles – Newt Gingrich is dramatically curtailing his campaign schedule and laying off about a third of his campaign staff as he focuses on a last-ditch effort to win the Republican presidential nomination at the convention in Tampa.

Gingrich spokesman RC Hammond says that Gingrich still hopes to deny GOP front-runner Mitt Romney the 1,144 delegates he needs to win the nomination.
Gingrich plans to spend much less time in primary states and instead personally call convention delegates to try to persuade them to back him in Tampa.
Hammond said Tuesday night that the new strategy doesn’t change Gingrich’s promise to support Romney if Romney does amass the necessary delegates before the party convenes in August.
The changes in Gingrich’s schedule and campaign staff were first reported by Politico.
A Banda Ferden…Gingrich-Samtorum U R handing President Obama a Second term..stop with these Non sense, Does anybody remember how they kept on saying their main opponent is Barack Obama..now for the last Month they only keep on saying stupid things about Mitt Romney with out any mention a word against Barack Obama..game over..face the fact..and step asside, and let the republican party take apart Obama 1ns and for all..please please!
Hopefully, this clown he will disappear entirely from the daily news coverage of the primaries. He has lost whatever little credibility and reputation he may have retained from his time as speaker, and has shown over and over how an oversized ego (and waistline) have no place on the American political scene. Good riddance.
I don’t think the “I’ll call the delegates” strategy ever worked. Correct me if I’m wrong…
Hillary tried and it made her look even worse. Romney may not be the most solid conservative but he has a decent backing and he one enough stats and delegates to prove his chance.
