The three confessed to assaulting the Arab male, 28, but said they acted on the belief that he was “taking advantage of” a young Jewish girl.

The Arab man sustained a broken leg, which was treated at Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

The three suspects were brought Saturday evening to the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court for a remand hearing to extend their detention.

Police expected more arrests to be forthcoming.

When I see stories of illegal Jewish ‘teens’ or others breaking the law to hurt or maim another person, its as if they broke my own leg.

These Israeli youths who attack not only Arabs, but other Jews, including pedestrians and shopkeepers, are the lowest forms of hoodlums. In Yiddish, the term is “skutsim”. Last year, a 60 year old American-Israeli was killed in Yerushalayim, by Israeli skutsim, because he wouldn’t give them a cigarette. There are also cases of these skutsim harassing Israeli girls. These cases should not be swept underthe rug, by the Israeli justice system.
