Brooklyn, NY – After not even registering with the Campaign Finance Board until after the first filing deadline, Democratic candidate for Councilman in the 48th District, Chaim Deutsch, has raised eyebrows by topping the fund-raising money list during the second filing period.

BROOKLYNDAILY.com (http://bit.ly/10CwOMn) is reporting that, even more astounding, is that Deutsch managed to reach $74,819 in campaign donations—the maximum spending limit allowed—in a mere two weeks.
Pundits say that Deutsch, longtime head of outgoing Councilman Michael Nelson’s staff, has amassed an impressive base of support due in large part to his involvement with the Flatbush Shomrim—which he founded—and his tireless efforts in assisting victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Ira Zalcman, president of the Manhattan Beach Community Group said Deutsch did “more than anyone” in helping families and community members devastated by the October superstorm.
Deutsch now faces three Russian-American candidates in the 48th Council District.

Good luck, Chaim!
Considering how well he is known in large parts of Brooklyn due to his long record of working for the community, I’m not at all surprised. He’s respected by all. A man with integrity will be a unique addition to the City Council.
I have nothing but respect for this man. He’s already done a tremendous amount for the community. Can only imagine what he’ll do as councilman.
Best of luck! There is no one better to work for the community. He has the experience and certainly is committed. When the primaries come, let’s not be complacent- make sure to vote!
Chaim, YOU rock the house – always have, always will.
