Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Sunday threatened to shut down Manhattan and the Hamptons over social distancing complaints.

“I am warning today in a nice way: consequences of your actions,” Cuomo said at a press conference. “We have 25,000 complaints statewide. I’m not going to turn a blind eye to them. They are rampant and there’s not enough enforcement.”

“I am not going to allow situations to exist that we know have a high likelihood of causing an increase in the spread of the virus,” the governor added.

Cuomo said Manhattan and the Hamptons lead the state with violations.

“These are not hard-to-spot violations. People send videos of these violations,” the governor said.

If “local governments are not monitoring policing, doing the compliance, yes, there is a very real possibility that we would roll back the reopening of those areas.”

Cuomo during his press conference said he personally phoned some bars and restaurants to inform them of violations.

“I said to them, ‘You’re playing with your liquor license.”

In the beginning Mr. Coumo said we have to close so we shouldn’t overwhelm the hospitals. What the excuse now just closing for the sake of closing. What’s his end game? Boro park, Williamsburg, parts of Monsey have basically been open since Lag Baomer That’s over a month. Speak to Hatzaloh members there have ben no new cases in our community The protests have been on going for more then two weeks there too there hasn’t been a big outbreak of the virus. Then you have the blatant double standards. Protests yes, weddings and davening no.

Empty threats. The governor and mayor are both impostors. The facts are that they are protecting the protestors who are packed together as they demonstrate. However, the rest of the citizens are being denied their rights. What is happening here is really the fight between two idiots fighting the right for the title of aggressor and idiot in chief. They could care less about theljves if their citizens.

Not a problem. Just wear a sign that says “I am protesting the death of George Floyd.” Then you can do what you want, shop, go to the beach, etc.
