In addition, ads are being placed on social media, alerting people not to donate to Uriel Goldman, who is actively fundraising for the disgraced group.

According to those familiar with the situation, Lev Tahor is using the money to fund travel expenses, in an attempt to reach Iran. In addition, funds are used to pay for lawyers, who are battling in court against families who are fighting to rescue their relatives being held captive.
Some ads say that the money will be used to “kidnap children.”
One ad reads: “Warning: Uriel Goldman, head of Lev Tahor, is collecting funds in Brooklyn.” Another says, “Uriel Goldman is now in Brooklyn, presenting himself as someone who is collecting funds for needy families abroad. In fact, the money is used by the Lev Tahor cult in Guatemala.”
Bechadrei Charedim quoted Goldman: “These people just hate us and they are doing things like this all the time. I don’t take people’s money in order to fund trips to Switzerland and not to fund terrorism either. Now they want to stop us from having money to buy food too. If someone thinks that we don’t deserve to have food to eat, I’ll take him to a din Torah with the Ribbono Shel Olam.”

The only thing to do is to get the Guatemalan authorities to suddenly storm the compound and detain everyone and deal with each leader and member appropriately.
I know someone who personally went undercover in Guatemala to find out about them by pretending to become a member. He told me they are a cult and appeal to chasidim by dressing like them and with their women wearing burqas. He said they are complete kofrim.

Some guy once drove up to me and started to talk as he began to put on a pair of Tzitzis, he began by asking me if I know of any Sephardic shuls in the area, and then somehow segued into some story about how he needs money, but he seemed suspicious, so when he finished talking I told him “ok, so you asked about Shuls, let me see”, and you should’ve seen how fast he drove off!
