“With more people you have to be ready with more food,” said Rabbi Zushe Abelsky, who runs Chabad of Moldova. Chabad is working tirelessly to keep up to the task. The Kishinev Shul, run by Chabad, welcomed hundreds of refugees with open arms, warm meals, and beds to sleep on over the past few days.

Chabad of Moldova is also preparing for more refugees to cross the border to gain refuge in Kishinev.

Most of the Ukrainian refugees come from southern Ukraine, and were able to cross the border into Moldova with the help of Moldovan Jews.

As the situation escalates, Ukranian citizens are increasingly afraid for their lives. They are afraid to escape during the day, and are only escaping at nighttime, with security escort. Just today, a Jewish man, ? Brodsky, was accidentally shot and killed on his way to Moldova.

As a man who called Chabad of Moldova for help put it, “Until I leave Ukraine, I don’t know that I will be alive tomorrow. I can’t think about anything other than leaving.”

Mr. Joel Lion, of the Israeli Council to Moldova, visited Kishinev and met with many of the refugees. He was amazed when he heard the refugees tell him about Chabad’s work to welcome them and provide them with shelter and food. Mr. Lion praised the work that Chabad is doing with the refugees in Moldova and expressed his deep appreciation.

As the situation continues to unfold, Chabad of Moldova is ready to welcome more and more Jewish refugees and will be sure to provide them with shelter, warm meals, clothing and open arms.

No doubt there will be another large wave of Jewish refugees fleeing from Pootin’s onslaught coming into the Jewish State. Israel will welcome them.

Putin has 10,000 troops in Tiraspol , 30 miles from them. Since the US “president” is not financially involved in Moldova and is not provoking Putin for NOW they are safe but anything can happen.
