BROOKLYN (VINnews) Yosef Hershkop, a community activist in Crown Heights who was brutally beaten in broad daylight in front of his young son, has tweeted an update about his condition.

B’Chasdei Hashem, Yossy has returned home, and expressed his gratitude to the many people who conveyed their support and well-wishes.

He tweeted:

Dear friends. As you may have heard I was attacked yesterday in my neighborhood of Crown Heights in front of my 5 yr old son.
I really appreciate the outpouring of support and care.
I am thank G-d back home.
I can’t discuss much else at this time.

I’m sure Yossi also thanked the Black man that helped him when he interceded by approaching the 3 thugs. He put himself in harms way on behalf of a stranger.

Why hasn’t eric adams already stopped by to visit him? Is he too busy already buying his next suit & tuxedo?
