MONSEY (VINnews/Sandy Eller) – Four Rockland County teens were arrested on Tuesday night and charged with hate crimes in three separate attacks on five Chasidic victims in Monsey.

The incidents took place in the span of several minutes, starting at approximately 12:30 AM on July 17th. According to Chaverim of Rockland, two women walking on Route 306 were shot with BBs near Rita Avenue, while another was pelted with eggs as she walked between Phyllis Terrace and West Maple Avenue.
Just moments later, a man was struck in the face by BBs on West Maple Avenue near Elyon Road.
The Ramapo Police Department launched an investigation, searching for a white Ford pickup truck whose front license plates were removed. Chaverim assisted in the investigation, going door to door collecting surveillance footage from nearby homeowners.
19 year old Cody Vascak-Katchmar of Valley Cottage and 19 year old Kristina Fogarty of Tomkins Cove were arrested by Ramapo police, as were two other unnamed suspects, aged 18 and 17.
All four were charged with second degree assault as a hate crime, second degree reckless endangerment as a hate crime, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, fifth and sixth degree conspiracy, second degree aggravated harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.
Vascak-Katchmar, Fogarty and the 18 year old suspect, who was eligible for youthful offender status, were all arraigned in the Town of Ramapo Court.
Judge Rhonda Schoenberger set Vascak-Katchmar’s bail at $10,000 and he was transported to the Rockland County Jail. Bail was set at $2,000 for Fogarty and at $10,000 for the unnamed 18 year old suspect, and both were released from police custody.
The 17 year old suspect was released to their parents pending an appearance in the youth division of family court.

Amazing, three have already been released, two on bail and one as a youth. No doubt the 4th will post bail as well.
What is stopping these monsters from doing this again, or worse, maybe it won’t be BB’s next time? These men are clearly deranged and dangerous, in any normal state, bail would be set at $100k and these guys, caught on video, would remain locked up
How is this a hate crime? They’re just bored stupid kids.
These white kids need to learn from the black kids. When you’re committing a crime like this, use a stolen vehicle. Shhhh. Don’t tell them. Better that they don’t know.
