Local residents tell VINnews that houses in the area of 61st Street and 21st Ave have been receiving the material.

The material is from an organization called Israel Restoration Ministries, which despite its name has no connection to Judaism.

Residents are urged to be vigilant and discard all material.

It’s about time that we were more proactive towards these parasites.

When I was approached once by one of these senseless deluded individuals who outright asked me why Jews do not accept Christianity I answered that is because Jews have a hereditary abhorrence of idolatry and Christianity IS idolatry.

He seemed surprised at my answer; he had never heard this before.
He should have.

I then had to be specific and explain to him that Christians and Jews do NOT worship the same God.
We Jews worship the eternal incorporeal God of Abraham.
Christians worship the image of a dead and tortured Jew hanging on a piece of wood.
Protestants have a mental image. (He actually had to agree that a mental image is an image!)

No similarity between the two.

Christians and Jews have nothing in common. Yes, we have a long historical relationship. But that has always been between [Christian] murderers and [Jewish] victims.

When we meet professing Christians it is our duty to point out to them that they are Idol worshipers; constantly breaking the first two commandments.
We should also explain to them that the covenant of Noah is still binding and that they are obligated to keep the seven Noahide commandments.

I also sometimes explain to them that the TANACH is ours and could they please keep their impure hands and distorted minds away from it. Their supercilious arrogance and unbounded conceit in pretending to know our Bible better than we ourselves do is simply revolting.

We should take the initiative and missionize them; not wait for them to come to us!

I live in Lakewood and we got this in the mail a few weeks ago. Surprising thing was that it was addressed to my daughter who got married 10 years ago. We often get tzedakah letters addressed to my children who got married long ago. I wonder if a tzedakah organization sold their mailing list to this missionary group. I’m sure it was a mistake, but I do wish they would be careful who they sell the lists to.

I could never understood why they target frum neighborhoods, the least likely areas where they can entrap the ignorant. I don’t mind if they waste their money doing this although it won’t deplete their bank accounts. Churches donate millions of dollars to these groups since gaining a convert is seen as as a ticket to heaven.

It is actually interesting to speak with these folks. At least we need to understand how and why their entire “mesorah” is like it is and totally contrary to ours. In their view it is so blindingly obvious that belief in — is mandatory. Why would anyone be so obstinate as to reject it? We need to be informed of where they have gone off-course with their interpretations.

let them spend their money in Boro Park where ever penny they spend will be wasted, rather than have them spend it in Sheepshead Bay where some of the money unfortunately will get some Jews to convert

Not all christian groups are the same, there are many different groups within Christianity. Their are Unitarian Christians who believe in one God.
