If you are a generous person, then chances are you might be feeling generous enough to buy a gift that can offer someone something for a month, regardless of whether that month takes place during the holiday season. Perhaps you want to treat a friend to several gifts over the course of however many months, and you may be considering what options would be good candidates for monthly or semi-monthly gifts. You can check the birthstone ring collection to get some ideas. From subscription services to tea gifts, you will certainly find an option that makes your friend or loved one happy.

A Nice Cup of Tea

What’s great about tea gifts is that tea does not have crumbs like cookies and cake, while tea also takes a long time to perish, so your friend need not consume a tea gift right away. Tea also presents an opportunity to treat a friend to many different flavors because tea is even more versatile than coffee. Whereas coffee is limited to whether you have a cup or an espresso drink, the inherent flavor of tea may be amended in many different ways. Teas can be sweet, savory, hearty, or bitter, and there can be even more to teas’ flavor than those four immediate types. Some teas can be fruitier than others. Some teas may even taste nutty or earthy. Accordingly, a tea gift is a perfect one for any friend or family member with a profound interest in the culinary. A monthly gift should be a nice thought, and that is what a warm cup of tea can be.

A Subscription

Whether you want to pay for a friend’s year-long supply of “loot boxes” or give someone a year of a streaming service, offering a subscription might be a good way to tackle all 12 months with one simple, great gift. Loot boxes can contain candy, comic paraphernalia, or figurines. If your friend or loved one does not mind clutter, then a series of subscription boxes could be a really fun gift for any big nerd in your life. Still, not all nerds have shelves upon shelves of plastic. Many hate the slightest suggestion of clutter, in which case streaming services can go a long way. These days, streaming services are not only for people who watch television. You can purchase a streaming service for video games, books, music, or even ad-free YouTube. Even if your friend is not into television, he or she may be into something else. Subscription services are expansive enough to satisfy any hobby in 2022.

A Box of Chocolates

As Forrest explains, “You never know what you’re gonna get!” Indeed, the great culinary benefit of giving someone a box of chocolates is that he or she need not enjoy the same flavor over and over again. A box of chocolates has lots to offer, including nougat, caramel, and peanut butter. Wouldn’t you be happier if you received a box of chocolates instead of a bag of Doritos whose flavors are uniform? Also, a box of chocolates is as good as tea in the sense that it is not immediately perishable. Each truffle contains enough milk to go bad eventually, but it is not an immediate problem. Consider buying a box of chocolates every month for a dear friend.

Candles

You cannot eat a candle, but you can smell it, and that is enough for many people! Candles with different scents are perfect accompaniments to a luxurious warm bath and are a welcome addition to any self-care routine. Some people do not like pungent smells, but the great thing about candles is that, while they smell like things other than nothing, no flavor is particularly pungent. There is no such thing as buffalo mac and cheese-scented candles (hold the phone on that one, but probably not). Most flavors are reminiscent of flowers or plants, like lavender. Whether your friend is a botanist who revels in all the smells life has to offer or a clean freak who wants to fill up as little space as possible, a candle could be a great fit for either type of person.

A Bottle of Wine

If your friend or loved one is even a little bit of a drinker, then he or she may enjoy the odd glass of white, red, or rose. As wines are inherently more decadent than, say, beer, any friend would appreciate a bottle of wine as a gift. Just make sure that your friend is amenable to drinking. This gift is potentially tone-deaf for a friend who is trying to quit, so remember to be sensitive. Going back to subscription services, you can also give your friend a wine subscription to a series of bottles over 12 months. Such a gift would yield similar amounts of appreciation.
