The mother, Henya, had been with her baby at the river and the current had dragged them away. The mother was taken out of the water unconscious and pulseless. After strenuous efforts, emergency teams succeeded in restoring her pulse and she was taken to the Schneider Hospital, where she is sedated and respirated.

A short time later, rescue teams found the body of Sterna Sarah, Henya’s 4-month-old daughter. Henya had apparently been trying to save her daughter. The Federman family have 12 other children aged 1 to 17.

An Air Hatzalah plane was chartered to fly family members in different parts of the US back to their family home. The mother is still in very serious condition

Please daven for Henya Bas Bracha Devorah Leah for a Refuah Shleima.

The Rabbi and Rebbitzin were on a pier and their baby fell into the water. Both parents jumped into the water to try and save her. The mother got trapped under the pier, and was later revived, and is in critical condition. BDE the baby could not be revived.

When will we agree it’s not “Goyish” to learn about tides, currents, rip currents, water power, etc? These accidents happen way to often in the Heimish world.
