LONDON (VINnews) — Britain’s King Charles got on the dance floor together with Holocaust survivors during a visit to a London Jewish community center. Participants in the dance included Anne Frank’s 93-year-old step-sister Eva Schloss, who later told Britain’s Daily Telegraph that “He was sweet. He really took part. He seemed to enjoy it.”

The visit was part of the British monarch’s tour of the JW3 community center, an institution which is open to all faiths, and acts as a hub for the arts, culture, social action and learning in London. During the visit, the king stopped by a hair and beauty course for Orthodox Jewish students and was shown the kitchen where volunteers and refugees were preparing food packages for the needy. The king also showed interest in a self-defense class taking place at the community center.
Charles was the special guest at a tea party for Holocaust survivors and chatted with them amiably before joining some of them on the dance floor. The 74-year-old king said that the Jewish music being played there reminded him of Scottish country dancing.
