Jake Sullivan, US National Security Advisor Says US Has ‘Set Aside’ Iran Nuclear Deal

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan speaks during a press briefing at the White House, Feb. 11, 2022, in Washington. President Biden is sending his national security adviser for talks with a senior Chinese official in Rome on Monday, March 14, 2022. The meeting comes as concerns grow that China is amplifying Russian disinformation in the Ukraine war. Last week the White House accused Beijing of spreading false Russian claims that Ukraine was running chemical and biological weapons labs with U.S. support. The White House says talks between national security adviser Jake Sullivan and senior Chinese foreign policy adviser Yang Jiechi will center on “efforts to manage the competition between our two countries and discuss the impact of Russia’s war against Ukraine on regional and global security." JERUSALEM (VINnews) — US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan is set to meet Prime Minister Netanyahu during a future trip to Israel. Sullivan told reporters that currently the US has “set aside” attempts to revive the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, which is vigorously opposed by Israel, for other pressing matters.

Sullivan is currently in Mexico with U.S. President Joe Biden, and did not give a date for a planned trip to Israel. According to a spokesman for the National Security Council, the dates have not yet been set.

“I’ll be going to Israel and [the nuclear deal] will be a substantial topic of discussion when I go,” Sullivan told reporters. “We’ll have the opportunity to engage deeply with the new Israeli government on the threat posed by Iran. And I think we share the same fundamental objectives. And we will work through any differences we have on tactics, the same way that we have over the course of the past two years.”

The US is concerned with the Iranian involvement in the Russia-Ukraine war with attack drones being sent to the battlefields from Iran.

For his part, Netanyahu said that, “The time has come for Israel and the United States to be on the same page, and I expect to discuss this with President Biden and his staff. There is now more unanimity on this subject than at any other time.”

If there is one good thing that came out of Iranian protests and executions, it is that the demented Biden, rather, whoever is telling him what to do, doesn’t want to be seen making deals with the evil regime.
