JERUSALEM (VINnews) — El Al, which was recently sold to chareidi investor Kenny Rosenberg, is tightening its Shabbat observance policy and will cancel several flights from London this summer, due to the Shabbat desecration which has occurred in the past during the check-in process. Thousands of passengers have already bought tickets for flights that will be cancelled, according to a report by Channel 12 News Sunday.

According to the report, the flight that will be affected is flight LY318, which departs every Saturday night from London to Israel. During the summer months, the check-in had started in the past before the end of Shabbat.
It has now been decided to prohibit the check-in procedure during Shabbat and, as a result, the flights scheduled to depart on Saturday night will be canceled during the summer months.
El Al officials told Channel 12 News that the move is being led by Rosenberg himself.
The thousands of passengers expected to be affected by the decision will be offered to change the date of their flight to Friday or receive a refund.
El Al confirmed the reports, stating that “due to the change to summer time and due to departure restrictions from Heathrow airport, we have had to make revisions in the flight schedule. We apologize for the discomfort caused to our clients due to this change.”
Kol Ha Kvod!
Only Blessings will come from such a move!!!
