The dramatic and heroic rescue was caught on astonishing video footage.

“I see the back of the boat going underwater,” said Cabasso, who was on his boat Gemini.

“The ocean is a dangerous place,” Cabasso said. “I’m grateful that G-d put me there, in that spot.”

Cabasso was fishing a few miles off Brielle on Sunday morning when he heard the screaming.

Captain Christopher Davidson maneuvered the Gemini closer to the sinking boat’s passengers, who were floating nearby, while Cabasso helped each person aboard.

After the passengers were safely on the Gemini, Cabasso said he saw the neighboring boat slip under the surface. The sinking took only about four minutes, he said.

According to one report, one man was gasping for air and suffering from exhaustion when he was pulled onto the deck.

The story uses a stock photo, which indeed is dramatic. the half afloat actual boat and rescue of people able to swim from their boat to the rescue boat is not dramatic.

There are few things more noble than saving life at sea.

Thanks so much for the rescue.
Life Jackets should be thrown as the first response. They could have easily lost someone.

I saw this all over the news yesterday without a single mention that the
rescuers were Jewish or that they were from Deal.

Somehow when it’s positive for us the media fails to notice.

Why won’t my comment about the legal requirements (with failure to act subjecting a Captain to fines & prison time) post?

Why is it a kiddish Hashem? or Mi Kiamchu Yisroel? If they could save them and they didn’t the would be Beheymis.
Also the guy Charlie Hallthat commented “what a miracle” so everything is a miracle. Miracles means Hashem changed the nature of the world in a small or big way.
Let’s get real!
