JERUSALEM (VINnews) — On Monday night, a female terrorist attempted to stab an Israeli policeman standing in the Huta gate region of the Old City in Jerusalem. Due to the policeman wearing a ceramic vest, he was not injured in the attack and succeeded in fending off the woman and overcoming her, together with Border Police stationed nearby. The policeman later related that he had not opened fire on the terrorist as there were many other people walking near her.

The terrorist was later identified as a 44-year-old woman from Jenin. She was taken for interrogation by police.

A video clip of the scene shows the woman, who was covered by a hijab, approaching the policeman and attempting to stab him. The policeman reacts immediately and succeeds in overcoming her.
Thank Gd he is alive. Of course she should have been shot dead immediately but at least the policeman is safe
