MONSEY (VINnews) — Rockland GOP Congressman Mike Lawler, a staunch pro-Israel advocate, has scheduled a town hall meeting this Sunday. However, pro-Palestinian pro-cease fire counter-protestors are planning to appear as well.

Lawler’s office announced that the town hall will be taking place at 6 pm on Sunday at Rockland Community College.

In response, the group ‘Rockland For Palestine’ is planning to hold a protest outside, and suggested that they hope to have attendees inside to protest as well.

“If folks don’t feel comfortable sitting in on the venue to directly speak with Lawler, we also have folks that will be standing outside to protest as Lawler enters the building!” they posted on Instagram.

Neturei Karta members are expected to show up as well.

Jewish community leaders are encouraging people to show up early, around 4:30 PM, for Tehillim and words of Chizuk. In addition, they are hoping for a massive pro-Israel presence and a turnout of a large number of Lawler supporters, to drown out the unwanted counter-protests.
