Hatzalah volunteers arrived on scene but unfortunately were unable to revive Zussman, who had seemingly been hit by a passing car.
Police are present at the scene and are supervision the investigation of the incident, while Chaveirim members search for surveillance cameras in the area in order to help police understand how the accident happened. Misaskim and Chesed Shel Emes are involved in maintaining the honor of the deceased.
A Chesed Fund campaign has been set up to assist the family at this time.
Whilst this is tragic and I’m shattered for the loss of this innocent lady, and I’m in no way suggesting that my following comment played a part, but since I’m a Monsey resident I’d strongly urge & beg everyone to wear reflectors since it’s extremely hard to notice pedestrians from sunset, no matter how careful one drives,
May we always only hear Bsuros Toivos

I can speak for Brooklyn where I reside. I require my children to wear a reflector vest over black clothing. These vests are relatively low cost, please buy them for kids.
Demand sidewalks on every street in the community! This business of walking in the streets is insanity.
Why doesn’t the entire community get together to find such people while they are still alive?
