Monticello man pretending as a New York State trooper in camp on Sackett Lake.

    1

A Monticello man arrested after allegedly identifying himself as a New York State trooper to several employees of a camp on Sackett Lake, according to Sergeant Don Prince. 37-year-old Richard Graham is accused of stopping the camp employees as they were crossing Sackett Lake Road in golf carts. He said he was a trooper and demanded to know who gave them permission to run the carts across the road. Graham even told one of the employees he was “under arrest” and attempted to frisk him, Prince said. Graham was charged with a felony for first-degree criminal impersonation and jailed in lieu of 75 hundred dollars bail pending a later court appearance in Thompson Court.
