    Los Angeles, CA – Police Chief William Bratton Last Week Thursday, told a congressional subcommittee meeting in Torrance CA, That He will lobby for a national police academy for terrorism training, an idea he has been promoting since September. The National Counter Terrorism Academy would partner with a university to set national standards for training local police in counter-terrorism strategies, Bratton said.

    Bratton asked for congressional funding for the academy, which he envisions would be located in Los Angeles.
