Los Angeles, CA – United States federal drug enforcement officials have contacted Israeli company Teva Pharmaceuticals – the maker of the powerful anesthetic Propofol – as part of their investigation into Michael Jackson’s death.

A spokeswoman for Teva Pharmaceuticals says the Drug Enforcement Administration asked the company about a specific batch of the drug.
Teva voluntarily recalled two lots of propofol after investigators found bacterial contamination in some samples caused up to 40 patients in Florida, Arizona and Missouri to develop fevers and chills.
Teva spokeswoman Denise Bradley says the DEA asked about a different batch of the recalled drug.
Propofol is the generic version of Diprivan. The anesthetic normally used in hospitals was found in Jackson’s home after his death June 25.

Why is everyone so quick to jump onto the “anti-semite” bandwagon? The facts are these: a vial of a drug was found in his house; the drug had had a recall recently. The investigators contacted the drug company to see if this was one of the recalled batches. If the company were “Merck” or “Bayer” would everyone be yelling about their being anti-German? Probably not. The company in this case happens to be an Israeli one.

i was once involved in anesthesiology . i recall that i was told that if you leave propofol out for even a 30 minute period. it will grow bacteria. its a milky liquid. i cant imagine anyone taking it to induce sleep. it induces anesthesia!. i cant imagine anyone in their right mind giving it to anyone for regular sleeping. poor mr jackson had sleeping problems? propofol is not the answer. this mr jackson had no understanding past his own desires. i am not surprised that a story like this is llinked to him after all the mishaps weve seen from him.
he seemed to think that he could use monetary leverage to get whatever he desired. its a real shame, he coudl have really lived a pleasing life. i hope that generations learn a lesson from his unstopping drive for material pleasure and gain. how could somone who had so much potential and sold so many albums and concert tickets end up with so much debt to society? this is a story of the unlearned being given an abundance of resources. the result is an early death, legal dilemmas, tabloid stories, personal misery, misery of associates and a legacy of irresponsibility . i can only wonder what mr jackson spent his living hours thinking about and reflecting upon. clearly mr jackson pursued the desires of his eyes and his heart. learn from this travesty.
