A former senior intelligence official says the man was being courted as an informant and that it was the first time he had been brought inside the camp.

The official says a senior and experienced CIA debriefer came from Kabul for the meeting, suggesting that the purpose of the meeting was to gain intelligence.

The former senior intelligence official and another former official with knowledge of the attack spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

Intelligence and counter-intelligence. The enemy knew the invaders wanted informants and exploited that desire.

The CIA agents of the great and powerful USA forgot. They forgot that they were at war.

And you think Obama’s appeasement approach does not influence the actions of our soldiers and agents on the ground? We so desperately want them to like us. Sure, come on in…..no, you don’t need to be searched….it is so wonderful that you are risking your life to give us intel…..your are so honorab….Kaboom.

    And the war goes on.

This just shows the taliban have better inteligence than the CIA. The taliban knew exactly who they were targeting, and hit their target perfectly. The CIA were clueless. I personally hold our commander in chief totally and inexcusably responsible for the death of 8 CIA agents. He is ultimately responsible for the CIA. As a matter of fact, hes is ultimately responsible for EVERY government agency.
