As reported by Blackburnnews.com (http://bit.ly/J3pZlq) Lev Tahor Lawyer Chris Knowles stated that the brother and sister were taken from their home by a Chatham-Kent Children’s Services caseworker Thursday night. Children’s Services say they saw what appeared to be symptoms of child abuse.
“They observed some marks on the child’s face. They commenced their investigation, they sought the assistance of the police, the police ultimately determined there was no criminal activity, but based on the society’s determination they apprehended the children,” says Knowles.
A care and custody hearing on the issue will be heard on January 31.
Chathum-Kent Children’s Services requested a full publication ban and was denied earlier today.
So All the Loshon Hura Commenters over the last few weeks, you all have to do Tshuvah. Because Motzi shem Rah is not a simple matter at all.
C’mon, you allowed them back into the abusive home? That’s like the CPS here in the states… Actual abuse is ignored and kids have been killed by their parents.
I hope the kids don’t wind up dead from malnutrition or something worse, but chances are they will.
I will not comment on this story as it is being played in the local Montreal press with an obvious anti-semitic slant and or agenda.
That being said, child abuse is something that is found in many communities.
I need not remind you that in the very holy of holiest IE The great NYC Chassidishe Hamishe Velt this was the case not so long ago.
If you remember a Rabbi of sorts was imprisoned for 105 years.
Child abuse is not something to be mum about.
We must denounce it with vigor.
