As reported by The Times of Israel (http://bit.ly/1fjJ2TL) most schools were set to open Tuesday at 10 a.m., however, some are still inaccessible due to storm debris. Schools had been canceled in Jerusalem since last Thursday.

Public transportation partially resumed Tuesday and city hall opened.

The Israel Electric Corporation said power had been turned on in all communities that experienced outages. Only a few isolated households remain without power in Jerusalem.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier this week Israel dealt with the harsh winter storm “better than developed countries” that are used to frequent blizzards. He dismissed criticism that the country wasn’t equipped to handle the storm.

The snow reached 40-60 centimeters in Jerusalem and between 60 centimeters and one meter in the Golan during the three-day storm.
