In 1927, the Chafetz Chaim penned a letter requesting financial assistance for his renowned yeshiva in Radin, struggling under heavy debt. Written on his personal stationary and signed by the Chafetz Chaim himself, the Chafetz Chaim highly praises the American donors who were sustaining the yeshiva. He writes: “Lately, the entire existence [of the yeshiva] is only through the help of our brethren in America, who have merited to be a stronghold and shelter for our holy Torah.
