The incidents occurred on recent weekends, as passengers in a silver Ford Mondeo hurled eggs at Jews walking near local synagogues.
Jewish watchdog, the Community Security Trust, said that abuse was also scrawled on a rubbish bin outside a company owned by a worshipper.
Detectives said no one was seriously injured but many worshippers were incredibly distressed.
Officers appealed for witnesses to the incidents which took place between March 12 and 18 in the Hale Lane area.
A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated assault was bailed pending further enquiries.
A police spokesman said that: “A number of people have already come forward to provide statements and footage of the incidents, but police are keen to hear from anyone else who can assist their investigation.”
