According to Israeli media, dozens of Palestinians, armed with clubs and stones, injured at least two Chomesh students, as they were heading to yeshiva.

Due to IDF roadblocks on checkpoints along the road leading to Chomesh, the students were forced to make their way on foot when they were assaulted.

They were quickly rescued and evacuated to hospital by MDA responders.

According to the report, the bochurim wanted to enter the area, and when the checkpoint soldiers stopped them, they tried to enter through another more dangerous route. .

In response to the attack the Chomesh yeshiva released a statement that “the ‘lynching’ that the two yeshiva students went through ended miraculously! It could easily have degenerated into a much sadder and more tragic situation. We have been in a campaign to save the yeshiva for 4 months, a campaign that began with the murder of our yeshiva student, our beloved friend Yehuda Dimentman HY”D.”

Chairman of Otzmah Yehudit, MK Itamar Ben Gvir, said in response to the terrifying incident: “The blood is on the Jews of Benny Gantz. The terrorists are raising their heads because of Minister Gantz who ordered the installation of army checkpoints on the road to Chomesh which endangers the lives of settlers who have to reach other roads.”

He added: “The violence and terrorism pass by quietly so as not to upset the Muslim ‘Brothers’ in the coalition. Instead of the army taking extensive action in Judea and Samaria and destroying terrorist cells, the coalition is conducting discussions on settler violence.”

In December, Yehuda Dimentman HYD was killed in a shooting attack near the Chomesh outpost in the northern Shomron. He was shot while riding in a vehicle near the outpost, and two other young men with him in the vehicle were injured: Since that attack, the Israeli government has been attempting to dismantle the yeshiva and shut down the settlement.
