NEW YORK (Yaakov M / VINnews) — Socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a BDS supporter, has spoken out against rapper Kanye West over his recent antisemitic comments.

AOC’s comments are extremely hypocritical. In addition to being an outspoken critic of Israel, she is part of the radical leftist “squad” in Congress, which include antisemites Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.
In a tweet Tuesday, Ocasio wrote: “There is absolutely no room in this country or world for antisemitism. It is important to see how harmful + dangerous Kanye’s words are – not only to our Jewish brothers, sisters, & siblings, but also to our collective society at large.”

AOC has a long history of spewing incendiary anti-Israel and anti-Jewish rhetoric.
During her time in office, Ocasio-Cortez has accused Israel of “apartheid,” threatened to condition U.S. aid to the Jewish state, and opposed resolutions affirming support for a two-state solution and condemning the BDS movement. Following the Israel conflict with Hamas in Gaza, she voted “present” on legislation providing supplemental funding for Israel’s Iron Dome missile-defense system.
She also joined with her fellow Squad members in supporting a resolution that referred to Palestinians as the “indigenous inhabitants” of Israel but gave no recognition of Jewish history in the region
She also said, “I don’t believe that a child should be in a cage on [America’s] border, and I don’t believe a child should be in a cage in the West Bank.” She did not, however, offer up any evidence of West Bank children being placed in cages.
Cortez also claimed that “Palestine is basically a banned word. It’s censored. . . . And we shouldn’t allow people’s humanity to be censored.”
