CALIFORNIA (VINnews) — For rapper Kanye West, things keep going from bad to worse. After a slew of antisemitic comments surfaced in recent days, a journalist has come forward to say that West once proclaimed his admiration for Hitler and the Nazis.

“Back in 2018, West allegedly said he “loved Hitler and the Nazis,” Lathan said. The rapper participated in the interview to discuss his support for President Trump and decision to wear a MAGA hat.
Podcaster Van Lathan said on his show Tuesday that Kanye’s antisemitic slurs did not surprise him. He said that West made the comments about Hitler but they were ultimately edited out of the infamous 2018 rant on TMZ in which he also claimed slavery was “a choice.”
Lathan said that he confronted and challenged Kanye, but TMZ’s videos showing the
confrontation was edited, because his mention of people who died “because of Nazism and Hitler…wouldn’t have made sense unless they kept in Kanye saying he loved Hitler and the Nazis.”
He added that one of the producers at TMZ stood up and confronted West, like Lathan did, and said, “I’m Jewish and that is offensive to me, what you just said.”
West did reference Jews and the Holocaust in the footage which was ultimately aired, equating the Holocaust’s association with Jews to slavery’s association with Black people, and claiming that “prison is something” that unites “Blacks and whites as one race.”
“When you hear about slavery for 400 years — for 400 years?” West said in a rant that became increasingly unhinged. “That sounds like a choice. Like, you was there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all? It’s like we’re mentally in prison.”
To rebuke West’s slavery comment and to highlight his ignorance of history, Lathan said he brought up the Holocaust.
“If you look at what I said at TMZ, it goes from me saying like, ‘Hey Kanye, there’s real-life, real-world implication to everything that you just said there.’ What I say after that — if I can remember, it’s been a long time — was, ’12 million people actually died because of Nazism and Hitler and all of that stuff,’ and then I move on to talk about what he said about slavery.”
In response, West allegedly said he “loved Hitler and the Nazis.”
Because of that declaration, Lathan said it didn’t shock him to hear that West has antisemitic views.
“I’ve already heard him say that stuff before,” Lathan said. “I mean, I was taken aback because that type of antisemitic talk is disgusting. But … I knew that that was in him because when came to TMZ, he said that stuff and they took it out of the interview.”
Candace Owens has publicly expressed her support for Kayne.
Ben Shapiro, who proudly provides Owens with a platform (despite her own Hitler comments), has stayed timid on the entire issue. The brash and outspoken man of “facts” is seemingly having trouble dealing with facts that challenge his right-wing worldview.
It’s time to recognize that Tiucker Carlson, Candace Owens. Kaybe West and those that support and enable the dangerous MAGA populism are not our friends and are a danger to us all.
(And BTW Trump was out this week throwing his support to a far-right xenophobic party in Spain. MAGAism and Trumpism is a real and present danger.)
