NEW YORK (VINnews) — In this Fox News clip, entitled “Lifelong Democrats voting for Lee Zeldin as crime, education remain top issues”, host Steve Doocy interviewed longtime orthodox politician and activist Dov Hikind.
Hikind said, “This is not about Repubicans or Democrats or Independents. If you love our state and want to continue living here, you have to support Lee Zeldin, you don’t have a choice.”
He added sarcastically, “She was running against Donald Trump for the past 6 months. But it’s not Trump, it’s Lee Zeldin.”

Lee Zeldin is definitely on the side of Yeshiva’s but no idea to what extent that matters. Not getting into the why here but it depends on what the underlying causes here.
As to inflation… Neither Zeldin nor Hochul have the ability to solve it so Zeldin suggesting he can solve it is simply delusional and just populist politics that plays to emotions and is bereft of intellectual depth.
Crime – overall crime seems to be driven by larger social/economic issues rather than by police enforcement. That said, it does seem that directed enforcement may help with specific issues in the short-term but if we want anti-semitic crimes to decrease we probably need to consider what is driving them (both on the right and left… too many here stick their head in the sand about anti-semitism on the right which the MAGA Trump movement has inflamed). Lee Zeldin while he may help combat in the short-term anti-semitic crime without a complete rejection of the MAGA movement I think we will only see anti-semitic rhetoric growing and anti-semitic crimes growing. This is not much different than the drive to combat the BDS movements which also drive anti-semitism and related crimes.
and if zeldin loses, he will declare it a rigged election.
