Interestingly, it all depends on the playoff success of an NBA team.

There is currently a 51% chance the Philadelphia 76ers will make it to the finals, which would mean BMG’s event would need to change their venue or date, as they can only use the stadium if the team who owns it won’t make it to the playoffs. The sporting event gets priority (in this earthly world).

The event is currently scheduled for Sunday, June 4, at Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia.

The team has a 3-2 lead over the Boston Celtics in the second round of the playoffs. If the 76rs win this series, AND the next round and make it to the finals, the 76rs would host a home game that Sunday, June 4, when the Adirei Hatorah event is scheduled to take place.

So we will need to wait and see what happens.

Adirei Hatorah is a fundraising initiative spearheaded by Mr. Leizer Scheiner and others to ensure support for the yungeleit of BMG. The initiative has doubled the checks of the yungeleit and raised tens of millions of dollars in an amazing show of hachzokas haTorah.

Being derisive (your headline to this article) about kavod HaTorah is just the opposite.

The Boston Celtics eliminated the Atlanta Hawks from the NBA playoffs on Thursday, but not in time to save Janet Jackson’s concert.

Due to the Hawks forcing a Game 6 in their first-round series back home in Atlanta, the Grammy Award-winning pop star was forced to delay a concert previously scheduled for Thursday in State Farm Arena. The “Together Again” show is now scheduled to be held Friday.

Such are the risks of booking a concert in an NBA arena during the NBA playoffs, but Celtics star Jayson Tatum still issued a public apology to Jackson for not being able to save her concert date.
