Mother Of Kedumim Terrorist: ‘I Told My Son- Go Avenge Jenin’

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — A short time after the deadly attack near Kedumim Thursday in which IDF sergeant Shilo Yosef Amir HyD was murdered, the terrorist’s mother proudly told news outlets that she had encouraged her son to go and perpetrate the attack.

The mother of the terrorist spoke to Arab media from her home in the village of Kibiye and said that she had told her son to avenge the Jenin operation by the IDF. “I told him, son, go avenge Jenin, and he said, Jenin is far away from here. I said no, we are all one state, we’re all Palestinians, we all love one another.”

The mother related that she spoke with a Shin Bet operative who came to her home after the attack together with IDF forces. “The policeman wanted to arrest me. I told him that I had given my son for Jenin. It seemed to agitate him and he told me ‘You lost your son’. I told him: ‘No, I didn’t lose anything, I have six more children and they will all have children called Ahmed Ghithan in his name.”

The “Fighting for Our Life” organization which is behind the protests against terror in Judea and Samaria said in response that “The ridiculous incident of a terrorist being interviewed up front on a media outlet and proudly saying that she persuaded her son to perpetrate a murderous attack is another proof of the weakening deterrent in the eyes of the enemy and the need for deterrent actions in the supportive vicinity of the terrorists.

“This attack exposed the civilian framework which enables the level of attacks we are experiencing, when the entire community mobilizes to assist the terrorist- from families to the village and even the official echelons of the PA.

“Its time to change a switch in this battle and to move from pincet-like operations against the attackers to a determined, ruthless war against the enemy in its entirety, including collective punishment against the villages of the terrorists, expelling the families of murderers and mass arrests of inciters. This is the only way to prevent the next attack.”
