NEW YORK (VINnews) — In yet another imponderable statement by US president Joe Biden during the course of a press conference in Hanoi, Vietnam, the president, who seemed tired and jaded, slowed his speech during a discussion about Chinese-US relations and then added abruptly “I don’t know about you, but I’m going to go to bed.”

Biden was speaking in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi after two days at the G20 summit in New Delhi, India. He was answering a question about China’s relationship with the United States before announcing that he was sleepy.

After his declaration, a reporter shouted a question about Biden’s meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang. Biden met Li during the G20 summit this weekend.
“What did you talk about with Mr. Li? You said you spoke with the number two from China in India today,” the reporter asked.
“Yeah, we talked…we talked about…we talked about it at the conference. Overall, we talked about stability,” Biden said while appearing tired. “We talked about making sure that the Third World, the Third World….the Southern Hemisphere had access to change. It had access.”
Biden’s staff then ended the press conference while the president was still speaking.
Previously Biden had stated previously at one point in the press conference that “I’m just following my orders here.”

White House Thanks Fox News’ Peter Doocy For His Viral Biden Remark
A clip of the Fox News host describing the president’s schedule raked in more than a million views.
The White House thanked one of the most adversarial members of its press corps, Peter Doocy, after the Fox News correspondent acknowledged President Joe Biden was likely tired because he’d been working all night.
“He has been basically working all through the night, the equivalent of an all nighter, Eastern time,” Doocy reported from Vietnam on Sunday, while awaiting a press conference from Biden, who landed in Hanoi after attending the G20 summit in New Delhi, India. “So, he’s probably pretty tired. Pretty jet-lagged.”
“But,” he continued, pausing and appearing momentarily distracted. “He should take at least a handful [of questions].”
