Israel Pressuring Egypt To Relocate Gazan Refugees, El-Sisi Refuses To Cooperate

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Israel is pressuring Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to accept refugees from the Gaza strip, and has even approached the international community to persuade Al-Sisi to accept them.So far, key European countries, such as France, Germany and the UK, have dismissed the proposal as unrealistic, pointing to Egyptian officials’ consistent resistance to the idea of accepting refugees from Gaza, even on a temporary basis.

Currently El-Sisi has expressed his opposition to the idea, stating that Israel should repatriate them “in the Negev.” However Israel has suggested that the World Bank forfeit a significant part of Egypt’s debts in return for accepting the refugees. In the light of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and lack of medical supplies, Israel has also suggested transferring injured Palestinians to a field hospital in Egypt.

El-Sisi has in the meantime invited Hamas and Islamic Jihad officials to Cairo to discuss the hostages as well as the situation in the Gaza strip, according to Egyptian media sources. Egypt is warming its relations with the terror groups “in light of Hamas’ clear position refusing migration to Sinai and in view of Israel’s attempts to push Gaza residents toward the Egyptian border.”

An Egyptian official emphasized that it’s not in Egypt’s interest to adopt the Israeli and American narrative regarding Hamas and other Palestinian factions at this stage. During its meetings with Western officials, Cairo has highlighted that there are “resistance movements” in Gaza, not “terrorist organizations.”

According to the official, Cairo has expanded its engagements concerning the situation in the Gaza Strip to avoid Israeli and American pressures regarding the relocation of Gaza residents.

The official revealed that recently, Egyptian security officials have been in contact with Hezbollah in Lebanon to consult about Gaza and to assess Hezbollah’s intentions regarding a full-scale war against Israel in the north and its implications for the future of Gaza.

The official added that the engagements with Hezbollah were accompanied by contacts with Iran, stating, “Currently, there are high-level engagements between Cairo and Tehran due to the crisis in Gaza. Egypt realized it needs to broaden its alliances to cope with American and Israeli pressures on relocating Gazans to Sinai.”

Thus, without abrogating its peace agreement with Israel, Egypt is negotiating with Israel’s most implacable enemies to prevent the collapse of Hamas leading to the transfer of the Gazan population south of the border – the only viable solution for Israel, which does not wish to live near a hostile entity of 2 million people located minutes from its border towns and communities.

I kind of like the idea of a two state solution in Egypt! After all, all arabs love each other, they share the same culture and would likely bring a whole lot of their rich culture and prowess to Egypt! What is el-Sisi being such a sissy about? Hmmm! I wonder!

Well let’s understand the reason that they won’t do it . They don’t trust the Yishmaelistans because you’re dealing with a group that walks around in a dress shirt just like everybody else. You never know who the terrorist is .

They’re not coming in from Gaza to make life better for themselves, they’re coming in from Gaza to make it into gaza.

Gaza was originally under the Egyptian control, and the West Bank under Jordanian. There was a proposed relocation of all palestinian “Refugees” into the Sinai desert after 67, when Israel conquered the Sinai desert as part of the peace deal with Egypt. The Allon Plan — which went through successive drafts between 1967 and 1970 — originally envisioned an Israeli annexation of the Gaza Strip. This would be achieved by the transfer of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from Gaza to Sinai. It did not work then, and wont work now. The Egyptians didnt want it then and dont want them now. And even the most pacifist civilians in Gaza dont want it either – they want the destruction of Israel.

Gaza is original part of Egypt , when Israel gave the Sinai back to Egypt they politely.. didn’t want them (their brothers who Arabs care so so much about each other) it’s time for Israel to put them right back into Egypts lap…

There are tunnels 200 feet deep under Gaza, large enough to drive trucks through. It would not take much more of an effort to tunnel the same into Egypt – where Hamas probably get most of their arms and supplies from to begin with, probably originating from Iran. If they could smuggle in all those arms, they could legally transfer civilians to Egypt – if they wanted to.
