(VINnews) — The White House has condemned Elon Musk, after he affirmed a tweet that many consider antisemitic. The billionaire head of Tesla and X (formerly Twitter) agreed with a tweet accusing “Jewish communities” of pushing “hatred against whites.”

Musk responded that that post “said the actual truth.”
White House spokesman Andrew Bates said it was “unacceptable to repeat the hideous lie behind the most fatal act of Antisemitism in American history at any time.”

“We condemn this abhorrent promotion of Antisemitic and racist hate in the strongest terms, which runs against our core values as Americans,” Bates said.

“We all have a responsibility to bring people together against hate, and an obligation to speak out against anyone who attacks the dignity of their fellow Americans and compromises the safety of our communities,” Bates said.
Musk on Wednesday responded to a post claiming Jewish communities “have been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them.”
Musk, who has the most popular account on X, replied: “You have said the actual truth.”
Musk later in the same thread appeared to clarify his comments somewhat.
He tweeted, “The ADL unjustly attacks the majority of the West, despite the majority of the West supporting the Jewish people and Israel. This is because they cannot, by their own tenets, criticize the minority groups who are their primary threat. It is not right and needs to stop.”
Another Twitter user replied: “Yes, but this is not fair to say or truthful to say that ‘Jewish communities’ promote dialectical hatred towards white. Say what you want about the ADL, but don’t generalize the Jewish community.”
Then Musk replied: “You right that this does not extend to all Jewish communities, but it is also not just limited to ADL.”
He added: “And, at the risk of being repetitive, I am deeply offended by ADL’s messaging and any other groups who push de facto anti-white racism or anti-Asian racism or racism of any kind. I’m sick of it. Stop now.”

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt responded to Musk’s post, saying that, “At a time when antisemitism is exploding in America and surging around the world, it is indisputably dangerous to use one’s influence to validate and promote antisemitic theories.”
The original tweet from an account with fewer than 5,000 followers, has been viewed more than 1.1 million times.
Of course the White House jumps at the opportunity to insult Musk because he stands in the way of their desire to control the narrative. That being said Musk should have been more clear about which Jews he was talking about.
