Lipa Schmeltzer Lightly Injured In Road Accident, But Manages To Attend Wedding

NEW YORK (VINnews) — Popular chasidic singer Lipa Schmeltzer, was lightly injured in a car accident Tuesday night, but still managed to attend the wedding he was travelling to at the time.

The accident occurred when Schmeltzer’s Tesla vehicle hit a guardrail near the Washington Bridge as he made his way to the wedding.

At first, Schmeltzer did not feel pain, and even took a video at the scene, thanking G-d for his miracle.

“I was on the way to a chuppa and I’ve already missed it,” he said. “I am leaving here thanks to miracles. I thank G-d.” Schmeltzer recited the Shehechyanu blessing, adding that he was relieved that Hashem had “vented his anger on trees and stones”, a reference to property damage which is in lieu of human suffering.

Schmeltzer continued traveling on an alternate route, but began to feel pain in his shoulder and lower back. He went to a hospital, where he underwent a series of tests which confirmed that he was in good health and had suffered only bruises.

After his release from the hospital, Schmeltzer hurried to the wedding, which was nearly over, in order to rejoice with the newly-married couple.
