(VINnews) — Eric Trump is threatening to sue leftist MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, after she observed that he and his wife, Lara, are scheduled to speak at a conference with known antisemites.

On her primetime show, Maddow pointed out that the couple is scheduled to speak at a ‘ReAwaken America’ Trump National Doral event in Miami this weekend—with anti-semites. “I can’t really believe they are going ahead with it,” Maddow said Monday.

In response, Trump posted on Twitter Tuesday that Maddow is “walking a fine line” because his family is “the most pro-Israel family in American political history.” He added that Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and their children are Jewish. “If [Maddow] or anyone else even remotely suggests I am anti-semitic I will not hesitate to take legal action against them personally.”

Scott McKay and Charlie Ward have expressed antisemitic views and support of Adolf Hitler, noted Maddow.

Eric Trump, his wife, Lara, and “a whole bunch of other Trump administration folks” will also talk at the event on Friday and Saturday, said Maddow.

Jason Greenblatt, an orthodox Jew who was a top Trump advisor, and worked for the Trump organization for decades, staunchly defended Eric on Twitter as someone who respects Jews. Greenblatt criticized Maddow’s implication about the Trumps, while expressing his belief that speaking at the same conference as antisemites is wrong.

Greenblatt tweeted: “I believe I am the only person in the world who can say: (1) I am an observant Jew, (2) who has worked for @RealDonaldTrump for nearly 23 years, (3) I never witnessed any antisemitism from him or his family, and (4) quite the opposite: President Trump,@DonaldJTrumpJr, @EricTrump & @IvankaTrump were ALWAYS respectful of me being an observant Jew.

“@EricTrump is absolutely correct. Those are facts. I disagree with certain things President Trump has said & tweeted. I have written on @CNNOpinion about how having dinner with Kanye (Ye) West & Nick Fuentes should not have happened. I think that speaking at the same conference as Scott McKay & Charlie Ward is wrong.

“Those are my opinions. But there is a difference between fact & opinion. Here are some more facts: (1) President Trump has harshly condemned antisemites over the years. Those statements were often not well-reported, but they occurred, (2) President Trump has been an incredible friend to the Jewish State of Israel, (3) President Trump established history-altering policies that tremendously benefited Israel and some of its Arab neighbors. @Maddow was not wrong to report on the vile, hateful antisemitic statements made by Scott McKay & Charlie Ward.

“It is important to highlight their hate. But the story should be about McKay & Ward and their hate. The implication Rachel is making about the Trump family is wrong. When reporting on this story, she should also report on the facts about President Trump, his family, Jews & Israel.”

If he’s such a tzadik and ohev Yisroel like he claims, why is he appearing on a stage with neo-Nazis? Why is such a conference even being hosted at Trump’s resort? We all know the answer. Neo-Nazis and white supremacists comprise a significant part of Trump’s fan base, so the Trumps pander to them. Feh!

a lawsuit is foolish, if maddow can wrap herself in arguments of free speech and freedom of the press. or unless he wants to support a poor, starving lawyer…

Maddow has a show on MSNBC the same that the racist Jew hater Al Sharpton has a show.

Lawsuit? Oh, he’s a “Trump”. That would be great. Maddow would pull out all the crazy things he’s said and done over the years as evidence. That’s why lawsuit will never happen. He’d drown.
