The current protests are due to the “reasonability clause” being cancelled as a judicial review of governmental decisions, which were previously subject to the amorphous standard of ‘reasonability’ in the eyes of the court. The cancellation of the clause passed its first reading Monday night, with all 64 members of the coalition voting in favor and all 56 opposition voting against the cancellation.
About 30 protestors set up a “tent city” at the HaSira Intersection in Herzliya, burned tires, lit flares, and blocked vehicles before police arrived on the scene. After about an hour, the interchange reopened to traffic.
In another event, dozens of protesters hung a huge banner near the Karkur intersection that read: “No entry to dictatorship.” The banner extended from a bridge down to the road and caused a major traffic jam in the area.
Protesters also blocked the main road between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Police used water cannon to disperse them and reopen the road. One protester was injured by the high-pressure water and taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital.
Police say that as of 9:45 a.m. there had been 24 arrests at protests against the judicial overhaul.
Twelve people were detained in the central district, seven in the Jerusalem district, three in the coastal district and two in Tel Aviv.
More protests are expected in many locations, including attempts to shut down Ben Gurion airport. The airport’s officials recommended that people arrive there at least three hours before their flights in order to take into account possible disruptions due to demonstrations.
At 6:30 pm there will be demonstrations in front of the President’s Residence in Jerusalem as well as the United States Embassy in Tel Aviv.
Starting at 8 pm, demonstrations are expected in numerous locations, including a march along Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv.
Leftie insurrectionists get away with violence in Israel, US, and everywhere. But keep blabbing about Jan. 6.
The anti-democracy protestors are throwing a tantrum as they see their dictatorship threatened.
No one works?

Zionism is falling apart on all sides, finally what we frum have been hoping for generations. Next is disbanding IDF and it’s shmad and its tuma pritzus of making bunk mates of 18 year old coeds
Hey “YD”. Your headine doesn’t match the article.
These people are such fools.
Right now the Supreme Court is a monopoly. Only a justice can nominate a new one. They are t elected by the people.
It’s incredible how foolish they are.
where are the Israeli police? If these were a unruly large group of Chardim they would have had their water cannons and patty wagons ready and used them!
The right to protest in a democracy doesn’t allow for disruption of the public. You aren’t allowed to be a public nusance. These BLM like insurrectionist thugs must be treated the same as charedim in meah shearim.
We also must pass this already and stop dragging it out or it will get worse
