Before speaking, Trump was introduced by IHF Executive Vice President Dr. Joseph Frager and IHF Executive Director Rabbi David Katz.
Prior to his speech, Trump asked Rabbi Katz to say words of prayer.
“Are you going to say a little prayer or something? Would you like to?” Trump said, adding jocularly: “Who’s better than the rabbi?”
Rabbi Katz returned to the stage and blessed the former president, calling him “President Trump”. Trump thanked him, saying, “I’m glad I told him to do that.”
Trump then spoke to the participants of the event and received the Keter Yerushalyim (Crown of Jerusalem) award in recognition for his work for the benefit of Israel and the relations between Israel and the US.
They need to organize this better.
Next time have Katz say the Tefillah lishlom hamedina, Mi Shebeirach for Medinat Yisrael, Mi Shebeirach for Tzahal, sing Hava Nagila, and dance Ma Jufes.
You are skipping the main thing. No report on the golfing that preceded this?
P.S. Maybe Katz should become the official Ruv of Trump golf club.
